If this isn’t the fanciest “throw together” weeknight dinner…. I don’t know what is. Literally just meatballs on pita with some lettuce, tomato, and tzatziki sauce. BAM! WHAM BAM! SHAZAM!
Ingredients:
- Pita bread
- Lettuce
- Tomatoes
- Tzatziki sauce*
- 1 lb Ground Beef or Turkey**
- 1/2 cup Seasoned Breadcrumbs
- 1 Egg
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Combine the meat, egg, and breadcrumbs. Loosely roll into 8 meatballs and place into a baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes.
When the meatballs are done, roll them up in the pita bread with the lettuce, tomato, and tzatziki sauce.
* If you can’t find tzatziki sauce, just mix garlic powder and lemon juice into some sour cream or plain Greek yogurt. It’s not tzatziki, but it’s just as tasty.
Vegetarian Option: Use vegetarian “Meatballs”
