BBQ Pasta

400 calories; $1.50 / serving

BBQ spaghetti is a Memphis thing that I brought over to San Diego. The couple who owned the BBQ restaurant that made the spaghetti famous started off serving it as a side dish. It quickly became a full entree, and they went on to have their own show on the food network!

bbq pasta

  • 1/2 package of pasta
  • 1 lb ground turkey or beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup BBQ Sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard

Boil the pasta; drain. Cook the onions and turkey in some oil until cooked. Stir in the rest of the ingredients, then mix in the noodles. If you’d like to garnish the pasta, try some fresh parsley or shredded cheddar.

Vegetarian Option: Add some grilled veggies and/or beans instead of turkey. Delicious!!
